The Sash Window We are The Sash Window Company; and we design and manufacture bespoke timber sash windows, and doors to help retain the architectural character and integrity of your home, incorporating sound and draught proofing. Our team of professional carpenters will respect your home and keep it clean and tidy whilst the work is being carried out. All our windows are manufactured in our Joinery workshop using either a hardwood of your choice or generally from an FSC approved Scandinavian redwood from sustainable sources.

Made to the highest standards we can manufacture new flush double or single glazed casement windows to any specification in softwood or hardwood. read more › Working on old windows can be a messy business. When the old windows are taken out, it is important to consider that the wind may blow things over! In order to work on the window these sashes have to be removed, to do this the staff bead and the part bead are removed, these are the parts that hold the window in. Very often the joints on the sashes may have become loose if this is the case we tighten them up either by glue and screw or by use of wooden wedges. Often there may be a minor cracks in the corner of the glass that has been there for years - we do not replace the glass.
