Timbercraft Windows & Doors
Timbercraft Windows and Doors was established in 1982 by founders Tony Simpkins and Tony Woof, with the sole aim of providing industry leading, bespoke Windows and Doors that combine durability with innovation. Since then the company has grown rapidly in size, from two to fifteen, with dedicated craftsmen working daily from our purpose built factory in Colchester, Essex.

Based in the South East, we are able to offer services across East Anglia, bringing bespoke manufacturing of made-to-measure Windows, Doors, Conservatories and Lanterns to both trade and individual clients. The versatility of our work allows us to utilise a variety of timber types, including engineered redwood, hardwood and oak, all available in a range of coloured paint and stained finishes.

We work closely with our customers to not only guarantee the quality of the Window or Door we manufacture, but also to make sure we meet the exact specifications that the project demands. We are able to offer a fitting service too, to bring a professional finish to the highly innovative designs we supply.
Services
Born in 1960 in Hull, Yorkshire, Tony Simpkins developed a passion for manufacturing wood windows from a very early age.
Initially Tony took the option to purchase a franchise in the industry, before deciding to start his own business in 1982.
This would later become known as Timbercraft Windows & Doors Limited.
Timbercraft was originally set up to provide bespoke Window manufacturing for the residential market.
Some 13 years on, Tony and his team at Timbercraft are no longer simply called upon for Windows, but Doors, Conservatories and Roof Lanterns too.
At Timbercraft we pride ourselves on taking traditional styles and giving them a modern, innovative rebrand.
Our Vertical Sliding Sash Windows give our clients the opportunity to upgrade their Windows whilst retaining their vintage aesthetic.
This means the leading thermal efficiency of contemporary Windows, made-to-measure and hand crafted to give you the perfect fit.
Indistinguishable from the timber windows they have been developed from, they bring fresh imagination to your home.
It is the attention to detail that we are able to offer at Timbercraft that makes our Vertical Sliding Sash Windows such a valuable to addition to either a new project or to replace existing ones.
For those who enjoy a more traditional window, our Flush Casement Windows are the perfect fit.
Available in a host of wood options, including oak, hardwood and softwood, the style of these windows is something that will immediately bring authenticity to your home.
We manufacture all of our Flush Casement Windows in-house, focussing not only on how attractive the feature is, but also how durable and resilient.
A nod to modern innovation, we combine the classic aesthetics associated with Flush Casement with innovative technology that helps you to realise exceptional energy performance and outstanding coverage.
At Timbercraft we produce Storm Proof Windows that are able to combine a devotion to timber with high quality products that meet all storm proofing requirements.
We place traditional aesthetics alongside efficiency and reliability in all of our windows, none more so that our Storm Proofs.
The team at Timbercraft are highly skilled, dedicated craftsmen who work tirelessly to meet specifications from our personal workshop.
As the name suggests, a Storm Proof Window is designed to keep poor weather out and retain warmth inside.
For people who are looking to maximise the space available to them, a Bi-Fold Door could be the perfect solution.
Growing in popularity, a fold away door is ideal for opening up a room and giving a more open feel, bringing additional light into the property and creating clean space to take advantage of.
Many new build homes will already be utilising the Bi-fold Door style, as are conservatories and older builds under renovation.
Space and light is becoming an ever more prominent feature of people's homes, and the thermal retention features of the door also mean that you are losing nothing in terms of efficiency.
