Soon afterwards we made the further decision to also stock and fit glass for other manufacturers' vehicle ranges in order to better support operators of Plaxton and Duple vehicles who themselves operated mixed brand fleets. In 2005, Plaxton entered into an agreement with PSV Glass for the supply of glass and following this in 2007 Plaxton was acquired by the ADL Group, who themselves had a parallel full distribution agreement in place with PSV Glass for the supply of glass and windscreens to operators of ADL buses, midi-buses and fire engines.

A promotional sticker is left with you along with the appropriate number of Tax Disc Holders and a pouch for the driver's cockpit area containing windscreen chip protective plasters. Our Glass Technicians are trained in the glass repair process and are regularly technically appraised.

The application of a clear film to the inner face of a replaced bus body sideglass is an obligatory requirement with many operators seeking asset protection. Bus and Coach Glazing use the industry standard 100-micron polyester in most applications to provide an anti-graffiti defence to the glass and safety security to the vehicle occupants.

Specialist tools and equipment and specialist skills and knowledge are required in the replacement of glass to these vehicles - to achieve the required optimum quality finish standards - crucial to the appearance and the safety of the coach. We also fit iPR (Improved Penetration Resistance) windscreens to order - these have a superior performance and longevity and are particularly suited to high density mileage operations.

Midi-Buses are proving highly popular by supplementing suburban bus routes and reaching into corners of estates that had never seen buses of any kind before. Bus and Coach Glazing provides a complete glass fitting service to these vehicles with fast response times, compliant glass parts and fitted by our teams of specialist Glass Technicians.

We fit glass to UK's metro rolling stock and complete each installation with a Certificate of Conformity to RGS GM/RT2100/4. This gives our customers the assurance that newly installed glass (post cure time) meets the transient loadings and pressure pulses prevalent in the environment metro vehicles operate.

We generally fit glass and windscreens to UK's trams either direct with the tram manufacturer - who has a contract to maintain the trams - or direct with the transport undertaking operating the trams.

If your insurance policy includes glass cover then all you need to do is provide details of your policy on the RFI (Request for Information) form and we will do the rest. We will seek approval from your Insurance Company to carry out the work and request details of any policy excess (XS) due. Although XS and VAT payments are collected at the time of the job regular users of this service can apply for these payments to be put on a Trade Account with us.
