AEL is trusted by the UK's largest glazing contractors to provide FIRAS-accredited Fire-Resisting glazing systems in steel and aluminium. AEL are the UK's leading specialist fabricator of Unitised Curtainwall Systems and the application of Structural Silicone Bonding. The 27-tonne stainless steel roof is supported on top of a vertical glazed wall of triple-layer, frameless structural glass panels of 7.2 m in height.

These are wedged into a shoe at the base, backed up by Dow Corning SSG.
Services
AEL are the UK market-leader in the provision of fire-rated glazed screens for commercial and multi-occupancy applications - both internal and external.
The use of Fire Rated screens from 30minutes Integrity-Only through to 120minutes Integrity & Insulation, as appropriate to the Building Regulations, can enable the use of natural light deep into buildings.
Our installation teams cover the whole of the UK.
For international projects we can train our customers own installers to enable the same high standard or installation to be achieved economically.
AEL are the most experienced fabricator of unitised curtainwall systems in the UK.
Our expertise in the engineering, manufacture, glazing (whether captive or SSG-bonded) and distribution to site has been employed by many leading UK and Continental facade contractors over the past 20 years.
Our unitised offer is backed-up by the fact that we are a Dow-Corning "Quality Bond" approved Structural Silicone applicator and approved Sika SSG applicator.
Fabrication, bonding and transport to site is substantially faster with AEL as opposed to other fabricators due to our unparalleled knowledge of the logistic requirements involved in successful unitised projects and the fact that we have made a substantial investment in lay-flat stillages.
AEL design, manufacture and install range of anti-ballistic glazed fixed screens, doors, windows and curtainwalls.
This range of glazed screens, windows, doors and curtainwalls are suitable for all types of commercial, residential and government buildings.
They allow natural light into the building and have the added security advantage of providing clear vision of areas where it would otherwise be necessary to build solid walls.
All of our anti-ballistic systems are independently tested to EN1522/1523 with classifications available from FB4 (.44 magnum), through to FB6 (7.62mm NATO) and FB7 (7.62mm AP).
AEL's expertise in Fire Rated and Blast Resistant glazed screens and doors also extends to the supply of aluminium systems.
AEL are Schueco Fire Safe & Sabre as well as being approved manufacturers of Aluprof's wide range of specialist products.
As with our Steel Fire Screen product offer, we have the ability to provide a full design, installation and glazing service which can then be supported by our FIRAS-Certification.
This will show your clients that any Fire-Rated installation completed by AEL on your behalf has been correctly manufactured and installed using the necessary skills, knowledge and experience as required by the CDM regulations.
The Building Regulations and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (known as the RRO or FSO) places the ongoing responsibility for the fire safety of a building and it's occupants onto the 'responsible person'.
The law now shifts responsibility for fire safety from the fire authorities to whoever has day-to-day control of premises that come under the RRO.
Each business must appoint a responsible person, whether it is the owner, facilities manager or an expert consultant, to manage the fire risk to the building.
